Acta Marine is an independent maritime service provider, which was created by the merger of workboat operators Waterweg and Van Stee. We own and operate more than 40 workboats, with a focus on coastal and shallow waters. From our main office in Den Helder, the Netherlands, our vessels and crews are mainly put to work in the industries Dredging & Marine Construction and Offshore Energy. We are at work on projects all around the globe with the centre of gravity of our activities in the North Sea. Safety and quality are an integral part of our business conduct and work procedures.

Acta Marine maintains a policy of long term continuity. Crews and staff are being valued as essential capital to our success. New vessels are being added to modernize and expand our fleet. These new vessels include both units with a 30 nm. navigation licence and new units with unrestricted navigation licence.

Mainly for our growing number of workboats with unrestricted navigation license, like a Shoalbuster and large multicat-type vessels, we require:

Captains <3000 GT

Requirements:
Valid STCW certification Master <3000 GT on Dutch Flag vessels.
• Relevant experience as captain, preferably on tugs, multicats or offshore vessels.
• Strong sense of responsibility towards vessel condition and client satisfaction
• Ability to motivate and lead the vessel’s crew
• Good communication skills, including formal reporting, in dealing with the office and clients project staff.
• Safety conscious and familiar with quality management systems
• Flexible, stress resistant, team player.
• Experience with anchor handling
