Acta Marine owns and operates over 40 coastal and offshore support vessels. They support clients in the construction and dredging industry, the offshore oil & gas industry and increasingly in the offshore renewables and aquaculture markets. Tasks and responsibilities:
As an HR Manager you design, develop, implement, manage and control all HR-processes within Acta Marine. This means translating Acta’s vision, mission and core values into HRM goals and objectives. You will be supported by an HR Officer, an HR Assistant and Office Management & Reception. You collaborate frequently with the Crewing Manager and the GM Operations, and report into the Managing Director of the company.
This position is based both in the Rotterdam office and the Den Helder office. Hereby you support the local business units and play an important role in unifying the two locations. You advise the management of Acta on compensation and benefits policies; staying up-to-date on legislation and regulations in order to be able to do so. You develop and implement tools and programmes on performance management, introduction programmes, employee development to support the growth of the organisation.
Additionally you build lasting relationships both internally (employees and management) as well as externally with third parties (e.g. UWV, Arbo, legal counsellors, insurers, recruitment agencies, labour organisations etc). You ensure up-to-date knowledge and training of both onshore as well as onboard personnel, creating a superior workforce.
Who are we looking for?
You have obtained a Bachelor or Master degree in Human Resources Management or similar. As a senior business partner with 5-8 years’ experience in a changing environment, you are an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You have excellent analytical, organisation and planning skills.
Furthermore, you are a strong generalist, resilient and with the ability to demonstrate leadership. Ideally, you have experience in or affinity with marine/offshore international crewing processes and strong knowledge of Dutch, international (social and labour) law and relevant marine legislation (STCW, MLC, etc).
