Technical Buyer

As a Technical Buyer, you are part of the Procurement team and are responsible for ensuring that our vessels and projects are supplied with the required technical materials and services.

You support the operational readiness of our fleet and offshore wind activities by sourcing and purchasing equipment, spare parts, and services in a timely and cost-effective manner. Working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers, you help ensure that our offshore and onshore operations run efficiently and without interruption. With your technical insight, structured way of working, and proactive mindset, you play an important role in supporting reliable operations and the continued success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchasing technical materials, spare parts, and services for maritime operations.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with suppliers and negotiate commercial terms.
- Ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Maintaining accurate purchasing administration, including supplier data, contracts, and order documentation.
- Supporting project teams and tenders with sourcing solutions and supplier information.
- Monitoring purchasing performance and using data to identify improvements and support decision-making.
- Identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and workflows across departments.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement and digitalization of procurement processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO) preferably in a technical or maritime-related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in technical procurement or supply chain activities.
- Experience working with ERP systems and procurement tools.
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with Excel.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Based in the Rotterdam area.
- Available for 32–40 hours per week.
