New “multicat”-type vessel delivered to Acta Marine
Acta Marine has taken delivery of the newbuilt vessel Coastal Warrior. The “multicat”-type workboat is the third of a series of three identical new vessels in the fleet of Acta Marine.
The new units each measure 22 by 9 meters, with a total output of 1215 hp and are equipped with a 140 ton/meter deck crane and with a 50 tons winch. These vessels are particularly suitable to supply support services at dredging and marine construction projects. Immediately upon delivery, the Coastal Warrior had to mobilize to Wilhelmshaven, Germany to commence her first contract. In fact, she was in such a rush that there was no time left for a festive namegiving ceremony. The sister units Coastal Guardian and Coastal Hunter were added earlier to the fleet in April 2007 and in December 2007.
