Suez Canal project
The Multicat 2209 Coastal Guardian is currently operated during a project in the 163 kilometer long Suez Canal.
The Suez Canal connects Port Said at the Mediterranean Sea with Suez at the Red Sea. The objective is to deepen and broaden the western part of the Suez Canal at the Great Bitter Lake, Dever Soir Reach and Reach Kabreet. To execute this, the Coastal Guardian assists two Cutter Section Dredgers.
This project started in December 2014, and consists of: dredging activities.
