The history of the Panter
Acta Marine’s small tug Panter has been working at the Port of Rotterdam for over forty years. During these years, the vessel has been supporting the well-known dredging companies, engaged in the maintenance of the access channels to and from the Port of Rotterdam.
Up to a few years ago, the vessel was manned by the Klop brothers; the most reliable crew an operator could wish for. Panter also has become part of the village’s history, based at her home port Hoek van Holland.Immediately after the construction of the vessel in 1973, Panter started the project in and around the Port of Rotterdam. Here Panter provides logistic services to the hoppers dredgers. These hoppers dredger maintain the access channels at the required depth.
